Bartending, Redefined

Temperance is the result of its founders’ meandering love of design, vintage things, outdoor gatherings, and craft cocktails.  We offer an adorable fleet of trailers, each lovingly and carefully restored to serve as mobile bartending venues.  We would love to help you create an utterly memorable, unquestionably unique wedding, birthday, festival, business event, wrap party, photo shoot, or pop-up experience of any kind.

Our Trailers

The Southern Mule

The Southern Mule is an adorable 1976 Cherokee horse trailer, born and raised in upstate New York and happy to be spending her golden years in our warmer Southern climes. She is an earthy girl, sporting wood counters, copper paneling, vintage lighting and an aged iron 2-tap draft beer tower. One of our larger trailers, Ms. Mule measures 14’ long x 6’ wide and can easily accommodate 2 bartenders.

The Gimlet

The Gimlet is a 1959 Shasta Airflyte camper, who has traded in her wild adventuring days for a new life of cosmopolitan, stylish entertaining.  She’s dressed to impress with elegant wallpaper, gleaming polished wood counters, sparkling crystal accents and lighting touches that evoke mid-century modern class.  She measures 16’ long x 7’ wide and can comfortably accommodate 2 or more bartenders at larger events, serving wine, beer, champagne or your own craft cocktail selections.

The Tequila Sunrise

As sunny as a warm day at the beach, our Tequila Sunrise brings a retro-cute party vibe everywhere she goes.  A HappierCamper with design roots from the 1960’s, the Sunrise was born in California and can dress up for a black-tie affair or go casual for a kids’ ice cream fiesta.  She also rocks a vehicle wrap and loves to make a corporate marketing splash.

Bees Knees

Cute as a button, the Bees Knees hails from San Antonio and was built in 1938. The very definition of BoHo chic, she is adorned in macramé with lace-patterned bar counters on 3 sides and a canvas canopy across the top. Our smallest trailer, Bees Knees can be used to serve cocktails, mimosas, coffee, dessert or anything in between!

What’s Not Included

Our trailer rentals do NOT include:

  • Booze.  We carry liquor liability and general liability insurance to cover our trailers and our servers.  As a permanent storefront is necessary for a liquor sales license in Georgia, you or your host venue must provide the alcohol for your event.  We are happy to help you determine the quantity required and we bring mixers, ice, and non-alcoholic offerings.

  • Electricity. Please have one standard 120-volt outlet available for our use.  We will bring an extension cord and conceal it for safety and minimal visibility (see FAQ, also).

  • Trailer décor… silk flowers, additional signage, hay bales, chalkboard calligraphy, fresh cut flowers, etc, but we can arrange with a bit of advance notice !

  • Additional remote bars … in an assortment of contemporary or rustic designs, for larger crowds or additional service locations.

Questions you might haVE

How much does it cost to hire a Temperance Trailer?
Each quotation is created handmade (like our trailers !) and costs depending on distance traveled, length of service, number of guests and drink selections. Please contact us for your event estimate.

Can we set up anywhere?
Yes, as long as your venue approves (in private spaces) or you have the relevant permissions (in public spaces).  All we need is solid, level ground.  Any of our trailers can be setup indoors as well, as long as the venue has a service doorway at least 8 feet wide and 8 feet tall.

Will you travel outside of metropolitan Atlanta?
Events in Savannah, Birmingham, Chattanooga, Asheville, Augusta or anywhere else you want to celebrate can be arranged for an additional travel charge ($1/mile, roundtrip, additional charges will be required for distances in excess of 250 miles, one-way).

How much time is needed to set up?
Generally, we can be ready to go 90 minutes before the start of serving.  If your venue requires us to set-up earlier for any reason, please advise when making your reservation.

Can I rent a trailer but provide my own bartenders?
Occasionally, it depends, as our insurance carriers have specific requirements which we must comply with.  Please contact us with your specifics and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Can you serve draft beer?
Our Southern Mule loves serving local brews on tap.  We can serve from one ½ keg or 2 pony kegs in our onboard kegerator.  Other trailers can be outfitted to feature draft beer by special arrangement.

What about non-alcoholic drinks or desserts?
Of course! We love serving root beer floats, soda fountains, specialty coffees, chocolate fondue, iced coffee brews, cupcakes and ice cream socials, too.  We welcome your creative ideas and inspirations!

Do we need power?
Yes, please. One standard 120-volt 15-amp outlet is sufficient within 100 ft of the trailer, and we bring our own 12 gauge extension cord, otherwise a low-noise generator is available at a small charge.  We will invoice an additional $200.00 to provide our own power, if it is not available onsite, once we arrive.

Are we insured?
Yes !

What is your payment & refund policy?
We require a 50% deposit to confirm your reservation. The remaining payment is due by the event date. You'll receive a full refund if you cancel more than 90 days from your event date, 50% of the deposit if you cancel more than 60 days from your event. Cancellations made within 60 days of your event will not be refunded.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, personal checks, Venmo, Paypal and all major credit cards.
